The Sheridan School Board voted in January to name Dr. Jerry Guess as Interim Superintendent following the suspension of Superintendent Jerrod Williams in December’s school board meeting.

Guess recently retired from the Watson Chapel School District. He also served in the Pulaski County School District as well as the Camden Fairview School District.

Guess spoke with Deltaplex News about his decision to serve as Interim Superintendent. He said he thought it would be something fun and interesting to do.

Guess said things are in good shape within the Sheridan School District, and he just wants to help keep things moving forward.

He said that there are two main goals for the district at this time.

Guess also said that he believes the Sheridan School District is a good district for students to attend.
