Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson halted the regular monthly meeting of the Quorum Court Tuesday night after a squabble over the adoption of a procedures ordinance, which is required by state law.

Before the meeting was halted, the finance committee of the quorum court debated an ordinance dealing with the use of American Rescue Plan money to pay bills owed to Reynolds Construction Company for renovations to the courthouse and juvenile court.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show Wednesday, Robinson talked about that issue.

He then went on to say this.

Robinson said Franklin does not live in his district and “is doing the same thing Delton Wright did.”

Wright formerly served on the Quorum Court and resigned after it was determined that he did not live in the district he was elected to represent.
