A Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday after he attempted to pass a fraudulent check at a liquor store on the north side of the city.

Julius Mcculler, 18, was taken into custody after police were sent to Browning Liquor Store at 1709 N. University Drive at 3:20 p.m. in response to a reported fraud.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson told the court the circumstances of the arrest.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set s $10,000 bond for Mcculler after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with forgery. He was told to come back to court Oct. 18.
