A Pine Bluff man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly hit his wife and her daughter during an altercation.

McKinley Hackett, 53, was taken into custody after police were sent to a reported domestic incident at a house in the 1800 block of West 34th Ave., at 1 a.m.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor MIrcha King explained the allegation against Hackett.

Detective Enrique Soto reported that Hackett declined to comment on the allegation.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $5,000 bond for Hackett and ordered him to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled. She declined to appoint the Public Defenders to represent him because of his income.
