A $1,500 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of trying to cash a fraudulent check.

Lincoln County Judge Phillip Green set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kindlell Womack, 19, with second-degree forgery. Green was sitting in for Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Cymber Tadlock said at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Detective Charles Clark was called to Relyance Bank on South Hazel Street where a female later identified as Womack had walked up to the drive-thru lane attempted to cash a $730 check.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Womack, who Tadlock said had no prior convictions or pending charges and she was told to come back to court
