A $5k bond was set for a PB man being charged with aggravated assault

A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a female Monday at the Pine Bluff Main Library.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Mark Rodgers, 25, with aggravated assault.

During the court hearing, a deputy prosecutor said at 10:33 a.m., police were sent to the main library at 600 W. 6th Ave., in response to a reported disturbance and physical altercation.

Rodgers was taken to the Detective Office where he was interviewed.

Rodgers was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court June 25.
