A $50,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Redfield man currently on probation who was accused of firing a shot at the father of his former girlfriend.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Johnathon Uphold, 39, with committing a terroristic act, aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
During the court hearing, Deput Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said the allegations are based on an affidavit from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Clayton Cantrell.
In addition to being on probation, Akel said Uphold is out on bond on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She said prosecutors will file petitions to revoke his probation.
Uphold said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court June 13.
