A $50,000 bond was set Friday for a Star City man accused of using a City of Pine Bluff truck to go to an auction where he allegedly stole several items.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with unlawful use of property and breaking or entering.
During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Keith Hall explained the allegations against Brooks.
Hall said Brooks has a significant criminal history and will probably be charged as an habitual offender with at least three prior felony convictions and maybe more.
Brooks was told to come back to court Aug. 23.
