A $25,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man with at least 11 prior felonies and two pending cases who is accused of running a vehicle chop shop.
Lincoln County District Judge Phillip Green set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Clifford Chambers Sr., 57, with theft by receiving, altering or changing engine or other numbers, or running a chop shop.
Chambers was arrested after agents of the Tri-County Drug Task Force went to an address in the county to assist the State Police who were looking for a man that had run from a trooper Mov. 17.
Prosecutors said Chambers’ pending charges were for theft by receiving, changing or altering engine or other numbers and he was told to come back to court Jan. 12.
