A $15,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of spitting on a fireman who was treating the man for minor injuries sustained in a traffic accident.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Victor Singleton Sr., 57, with aggravated assault.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said on Feb. 24, police were sent to Princeton Pike in response to a single vehicle accident involving Singleton.

Reed said Singleton has no prior convictions or pending charges. He was told to come back to court April 2.
