A $10,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County man on drug related allegations.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jeremy Jones, 38, of Moscow, Ark., with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Officer Christian Carroll, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on May 12 and 11:30 a.m., police went to Hunter’s Refuge on Dollarway Road in response to a security check at the business.

When Jones was interviewed, he said he had forgotten that the marijuana was in the car.

Jones, who Alexander said had no prior convictions or pending charges said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court June 18.
