The Pine Bluff Police Department is inviting residents to attend its annual National Night Out celebration on Aug. 4, bringing together law enforcement and the community for an evening of family-friendly activities, entertainment and back-to-school resources.
The free event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. According to organizers, National Night Out is about more than just an evening of family fun.

Along with community outreach, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including food, music, prizes and entertainment.
A DJ will provide music throughout the evening, and organizers say the event is designed to offer a fun atmosphere for both children and adults.
The event also serves as a back-to-school bash through partnerships with community organizations.
Families can expect school supply giveaways and other resources to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Organizers said previous events have also included services such as free haircuts, with similar opportunities possible again this year.
National Night Out is free and open to the public.
This is one of the Pine Bluff Police Department’s largest annual community outreach events, typically drawing hundreds of attendees throughout the evening.
