Arkansas Medical Marijuana Sales Reach 140 Million in First Half of 2026 Amid Slight Decline

Medical marijuana sales in Arkansas totaled $140.3 million during the first six months of 2026, according to a preliminary report released by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.

The total represents a slight decline from the $144 million recorded during the same period in 2025, which marked a record year for medical marijuana sales in the state.

The report shows the average purchase at Arkansas dispensaries was $75.14 during the first half of the year. The state collected $16.8 million in medical marijuana tax revenue between January and June through its 6.5% sales tax and 4% privilege tax.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the number of active medical marijuana patient cards increased to 119,074, up from 110,539 reported in July 2025.

Department of Finance and Administration data identified the top five dispensaries by share of statewide sales during the reporting period:

Natural Relief Dispensary in Sherwood – 8.55%

Suite 443 in Hot Springs – 8.02%

CROP Dispensary in Jonesboro – 5.33%

Harvest Dispensary in Conway – 5.32%

Custom Cannabis in Alexander – 4.43%

The report also noted that three dispensaries in northwest Arkansas ranked sixth, seventh and eighth in statewide sales but did not identify them by name.

State officials said the report is preliminary and an updated version will be released once it is finalized.
