Arkansas welcomed a record 54.3 million visitors in 2025, generating $10.2 billion in visitor spending and a total economic impact of $17.4 billion, according to figures announced today by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The governor made the announcement at Pinnacle Mountain State Park Visitor Center alongside officials with the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism and Arkansas Tourism.

According to the state’s 2025 Economic Impact Report, the record number of visitors also supported more than 70,000 jobs across Arkansas.

Officials said visitor spending reached its highest level on record, while revenue from the state’s 2% tourism tax climbed to a record nearly $27 million.

State officials credited continued investments in outdoor recreation, along with Arkansas’ parks, trails, rivers, mountains and communities, as contributing factors to the industry’s continued growth.

They also said tourism and outdoor recreation remain major contributors to the state’s economy.

The record visitor totals mark another milestone for Arkansas’ tourism industry, with officials saying the additional tourism tax revenue will provide more resources to promote the state and support future tourism growth.
