On June 20, 2026, just before 4:00 PM, Pine Bluff Police officers responded to 505 W. Barraque apartment #5 in reference to an unresponsive male. On arrival they found a male in front of apartment #5. The male had an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. EASi ambulance service arrived and transported the male to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time after arrival. The deceased male’s name will be released after his family has been located and notified. The circumstances leading to his death are under investigation at this time.
