Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013and this week Jason Duren was joined by Valarie Dunn from Trinity Village Nursing Home who talked about an upcoming event and about how United Way is benefiting their residents.
Dunn said because of the United Way, they were able to reach out to residents of the community.
She said the churches were housing those students they had hired in church basements and other locations.
Part of the United Way funding was also used to buy stand-up planters for disabled individuals.
