Former Pine Bluff Zebra Simeon Blair, who later went on to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks is joining the staff of new coach Ryan Silverfield.
Blair, who threw for 1,600 yards and 20 TDs for the Zs before moving on to Fayetteville, has recently coached at William Jewell in Liberty, Missouri. He finished his playing career under Silverfield in 2023 at the University Of Memphis.
He has been hired as a Defensive Quality Control coach, and brings and Arkansas flavor to the staff. Blair suited up for 46 games as a Razorback, served as a team captain and registered 135 total tackles.
He earned 3rd team All-AAC honors at Memphis and was a member of the Tiger team that beat Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl Game.
