The trial date has been set for the woman accused of killing former Arkansas senator Linda Collins.

Rebecca O’Donnell, 48, of Pocahontas, appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing Friday.

O’Donnell was arrested in June for the murder of former Arkansas senator Linda Collins. She is charged with capital murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Collins was found dead at her home in Pocahontas on June 4.

Collins was a Republican state representative from 2011-2013. She served in the state senate from 2015-2019. She and O’Donnell were good friends.

O’Donnell is scheduled to appear in court again for a pre-trial hearing on Feb. 28, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. Her trial date is set to begin on Oct. 19, 2020, and end on Oct. 30.
