New Law Bans Cell Phones in Schools: What Pine Bluff Parents and Students Need to Know

A new law that takes effect in the next school year will completely alter students use of cell phones.

The law will ban cell phones during school hours and Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree said the district is holding a meeting to let people know what to expect when the new school year begins. The meeting will be held tonight at Jack Robey at 4101 South Olive Street.

Barbaree appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show host Greg Horne asked her at what age do kids start bringing cell phones to school?

Horne said the social media thing, particularly for girls is terrible.

Barbaree also talked about the involvement of the school board.
