A $75,000 cash-only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of being involved in the robbery of an individual in March.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Darius Brown, 34, with aggravated robbery.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Enrique Soto, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on March 17, an officer was sent to Jack Robey Junior High School in response to a reported carjacking and while in route, was told that an ambulance was taking the victim to the hospital.

McGriff said the suspects took the victim’s debit card, wallet, and keys and tossed him out of the vehicle before driving away.

Soto reported that on April 15, the victim showed him a picture of Brown that he had found on Facebook.

McGriff said Brown has pending felony charges in both Jefferson and Pulaski Counties including terroristic act, aggravated assault, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was told to come back to court on May 10.
