A Pine Bluff man currently on parole and classified as a habitual offender was arrested Wednesday after he was found in a car that had been reported stolen.

Brian Archa, 33, was taken into custody after the car. A Ford Crown Victoria was found in the parking lot at Walmart.

During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said the car was stolen from a business on Oct. 9.

Archa has a pending charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm stemming from a 2021 case and has more than four prior felony convictions.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 bond for Archa after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving. She also told him of a parole hold that would be filed against him.
