The Pine Bluff Police Department has made an arrest in relation to a stolen vehicle report made on Sunday.
On Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 4:32 p.m. Pine Bluff Officers located a white 2021 Toyota Camry that had been reported stolen early Sunday morning around 4:00 a.m.
Officers saw the vehicle near 34th Avenue and S. Fir Street and a pursuit began after they activated their emergency equipment.
The Arkansas State Police joined the pursuit and after a short chase, the vehicle wrecked out near W. 12th Avenue and S. Plum Street.
The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Jarvis Walters, was tased after a short foot pursuit and taken into custody.
Walters was evaluated by medical personnel then taken to Dub Brassell Detention Center and charged with Theft by Receiving (felony), Fleeing (felony), and Criminal Mischief (felony).
