Two people were killed in traffic accidents in Arkansas Sunday, bringing the state total to 191 so far this year.

State Police reported that Matthew Jay Hausman, 18, of Green Forrest died when the 1994 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving ran off County Road 601 in Carroll County and the left side of the vehicle hit a tree before overturning and coming to rest on its top.

That accident was reported at 8:24 p.m. and Hausman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five hours earlier, Gary Moore, 58, of Chicago was killed when the 2021 Jeep he was driving northbound on State Highway 17 in Monroe County was hit by a 2018 Dodge Ram that that had been southbound before making a left turn onto State Highway 241.

After impact, the jeep came to rest in a ditch on Highway 17.
