Three Pine Bluff men arrested in the early morning hours Sunday after a shooting on University Drive will be held without bond while prosecutors prepare multiple charges including capital murder against them.
Jaheim Ramsey, 21, Cordareyel Daniels, 22, and Henry McAllister, 29, all have criminal records with Daniels and Ramsey both being on probation and McAllister on a suspended imposition of sentence.
During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Pine Bluff Police Officer Jarrell Johnson was on patrol in the early morning hours near the Martha Mitchell Expressway and University Drive.
Detective Corey Wilfong reported that there were four people who were shot with one of them, Vincent Peal Jr., 23 pronounced dead at the scene. The other three victims were taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital then to hospitals in Little Rock to be treated.
Witnesses told police Peal was arguing with a woman at the gas station when the shooting broke out.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge all three men with capital murder, three counts of first-degree battery, carrying a prohibited weapon, violation of the uniform machine gun act, committing a terroristic act, and engaging in a violent criminal act. McAllister and Ramsey will also be charged with felony fleeing.
All three men were told to come back to court Nov. 29.
