A $15,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of putting a gun in the back of a woman during an altercation at Lake Saracen on Monday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kenon Smith, 20, with aggravated assault, third-degree domestic battery, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Smith is also accused of pulling off a wig the woman was wearing and hitting her with a closed fist, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said during a court hearing Wednesday.

Police reported that witnesses to the incident saw Smith point a gun at the victim and hold it against her back.

Cason said Smith is currently on probation in Washington County after pleading guilty to felony fleeing. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
