Reading from an affidavit by Detective Keith Banks, Akel said at 11:29 p.m., police were sent to the Sunbridge Inn in response to a reported domestic incident in room 439.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $100,000 bond for Ward after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second offense third-degree domestic battery. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Nov. 29.
