Last month, Jefferson Regional Hospital announced that a new rehabilitation hospital will be located in White Hall.
Wendy Talbot, a spokeswoman for the hospital was a recent guest on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and talked about why the location was chosen.
She went on to explain what the new building will be used for.
Talbot said hospital officials are currently doing all the planning and hope that ground can be broken this year, with construction starting in 2023 and the facility opening early in 2024.
Talbot also talked about the Jefferson Regional Wellness Centers, which like gyms across the country had to shut down for a while because of COVID-19 but is now back and serving area residents.
