Two lectures featuring prominent guests have been slated for this fall at Crystal Bridges.
The first of the lectures is “An Evening with Jane Fonda and Mary Steenburgen.”
The event will feature a conversation between Academy Award-winning actor, author, and activist Jane Fonda and songwriter, Golden Globe, and Academy Award-winning actor Mary Steenburgen.
The event will take place at Crystal Bridges on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m.
The second lecture will feature Jonathan Haidt, author of “The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness.”
Haidt, a social psychologist at New York University’s Stern School of Business, boasts research that “examines the intuitive foundations of morality, and how morality varies across cultures.”
A release from Crystal Bridges said that Haidt’s goal is to “help people understand each other, live and work near each other, and even learn from each other despite their moral differences.”
This lecture will discuss the intersection of social media and the decline of teen mental health and what can be done to reverse harmful trends.
The lecture will take place at Crystal Bridges on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.
Tickets for both events can be purchased at the Crystal Bridges website.
