The City Council at Star City has approved salaries for elected officials for 2022, according to the Lincoln Ledger newspaper.
Meeting for the final time this year on Monday, the council approved a $52,636.09 salary for Mayor Paul Carter, a salary of $46,094.79 for City Clerk-Recorder Alicia Hawkins and a salary of $19,148.35 for City Attorney Clint Todd. The elected officials will be paid by-weekly.
Also, council members will be paid $350 a month, payable monthly.
Carter and Todd reported that all steps have been taken to implement the city’s stock law. Letters have been sent to those in violation of the ordinance and now citations will be issued.
