Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week following a standout performance in the Razorbacks’ win over No. 16 Texas Tech.
Brazile, a 6-foot-10, 230-pound senior from Springfield, Missouri, finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots in the victory. He shot 8-of-13 from the field (61.5 percent) and was highly efficient from beyond the arc, converting 4-of-5 attempts (80 percent).
The 24-point outing was one shy of Brazile’s career high, while his four made 3-pointers tied a career best. His impact was most evident in the second half, where he scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help fuel Arkansas’ comeback.
Brazile was nearly flawless after halftime, going 6-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range, and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. He also recorded eight of his 10 rebounds and both of his blocked shots in the second period.
The performance marked one of Brazile’s most complete games of the season and played a key role in Arkansas securing a marquee nonconference win.
