Robert Mingo Joins Pine Bluff Zebras Football Coaching Staff

PINE BLUFF, AR — In a move that signals renewed energy and commitment to excellence, Pine Bluff High School has announced the hiring of Robert Mingo as an assistant football coach for the Zebras storied football program.

Mingo, a respected figure in Arkansas high school football circles, brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion for the game to the sidelines. Known for his strong defensive mind, offensive knowledge, and ability to connect with young athletes, Mingo’s addition is expected to make an immediate impact on and off the field.

Mingo, a Dumas, AR native and former standout athlete himself, played high school football, basketball (All-State), baseball, and competed in track & field for the Bobcats from 2002 to 2005. He was offered a Division I football scholarship to play at the University of Louisiana at Monroe as a wide receiver following his senior year of high school. Mingo transferred to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2007 to play safety for current UAPB Head Football Coach, Alonzo Hampton.

The Zebras, winners of multiple state championships over the decades, are looking to return to glory with a strong showing in the upcoming season. With Mingo now on board, expectations are rising as players and fans look ahead with renewed hope.
