The Pine Bluff School District held its monthly meeting earlier this week to conduct routine district business, including a grievance hearing requested by football coach Michael Williams, who remains on administrative leave for an undisclosed matter.
The hearing was held at Williams’ request.
Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Barbaree spoke with Deltaplex News following the meeting, outlining the district’s grievance process for school employees.
Barbaree said the school board voted 4–2, determining that there was no grievance eligible to be heard.
Williams remains on administrative leave while the investigation continues, and Barbaree said the district cannot make any employment decisions until that process is complete.
