Go Forward Pine Bluff has announced the 14 high school teams that will compete in the 2025 King Cotton Holiday Classic, one of the nation’s premier high school basketball tournaments. The event is set for Dec. 27, 29 and 30 at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, continuing the storied tradition that began in 1982 and has helped the tournament earn national recognition—including coverage on ESPN.
Tournament Director Sam Glover spoke with Deltaplex News about the tournament after many in the area have said they doubted a tournament would take place this year.
He also shared what led to the tournament making its return several years ago.
This year’s field features programs from Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, California, Georgia, Virginia and Florida.
