William “Hud” Jackson, head coach of the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) Football, will step down from his coaching duties at the end of the 2025 season.

Jackson, who has been with UAM since 2011, will focus on his role as director of athletics, a position he has held since March 2022.

Reflecting on his decision, Jackson said, “This is a tough day, but also a proud one. Football has been my life for 57 years. I’ve been a coach’s kid, a player and a coach — it’s all I’ve ever known. And I wouldn’t trade a minute of it.”

Over the course of his tenure, Jackson led the team to its first postseason appearance in 25 years at the 2018 Corsicana Bowl and celebrated his 50th program win in October 2025.
