England High School’s scheduled football game against Mayflower on Friday, September 12, 2025, has been cancelled due to a forfeit.

The decision follows last week’s game against Drew Central, which was cut short after a sideline brawl. That incident resulted in 14 player suspensions leaving the Lions unable to compete this week.

School officials confirmed the cancellation, citing both disciplinary actions and health concerns affecting the team roster.

“With the suspensions and injuries from last week’s events, our team is unable to safely compete,” the school stated. “We thank our community for their continued support of EHS Lions Athletics.”
