Week one of the 2025 Arkansas high school football season saw a lot of action Friday night, and several Deltaplex area teams made early statements with convincing wins across the region.
Leading the way was Dumas, which blanked Star City 39-0 in a dominant season opener. The Bobcats’ defense set the tone early, forcing multiple turnovers, while the offense capitalized on nearly every opportunity to build a comfortable lead by halftime.
Warren also impressed, taking down White Hall 28-14 in one of the more anticipated matchups of the night. The Lumberjacks leaned on a balanced offensive attack and a second-half defensive stand to secure the win and start their season on the right foot.
Elsewhere, Drew Central rolled to a 46-16 victory over England, showcasing a high-powered offense that looks ready to turn heads this season. Crossett matched that energy with a 42-22 win over Watson Chapel, pulling away late to seal the deal.
In Hamburg, the Lions protected home turf with a 49-27 win over McGehee, while Rison took care of business against Harmony Grove (Ouachita County), winning 36-19 behind a punishing run game.
Rounding out the night, Fordyce pitched a 36-0 shutout over Magnet Cove, Gurdon defeated Parkers Chapel 31-6, and Hermitage opened with a 46-8 win over Guy-Perkins.
