Week 2 of high school football delivered plenty of action for Deltaplex-area fans, with local teams racking up big wins, shutouts, and some eye-popping offensive numbers under the Friday night lights.
Camden Fairview edged Pine Bluff 26-22 in a thriller, holding off a late push from the Zebras to secure the win. Morrilton dominated White Hall 56-6, showing off an explosive offense that couldn’t be slowed down.
Warren pitched a shutout, blanking Watson Chapel 42-0, while Stuttgart powered past Malvern 49-14 to stay hot early in the season.
Hamburg and McGehee both had impressive nights on offense, with Hamburg defeating Dumas 56-28 and McGehee topping Star City 52-12.
Defensively, Fordyce was perfect in a 51-0 rout of Mineral Springs, while Haskell Harmony Grove rolled to a 25-0 shutout win over Rison.
And in one of the highest-scoring games of the night anywhere in the state, Rogers lit up the scoreboard in an 84-40 victory over Sheridan, putting on an offensive clinic.
