Arkansas State WR Corey Rucker Joins Prestigious Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Arkansas State’s senior wide receiver Corey Rucker has been named to the 2025 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, an honor recognizing the top FBS receiver annually.

Rucker becomes the seventh player from Arkansas State to be included on this prestigious list. Previous honorees from the program include Te’Vailance Hunt, Jonathan Adams Jr., Omar Bayless, Kirk Merritt, J.D. McKissic, and Dwayne Frampton, with Adams and Bayless having reached semifinalist status.

Rucker holds the school record for career receiving yards at 3,037 and ranks second in both career touchdown receptions and total catches. His 2024 season was particularly impressive, with 1,053 yards on 69 receptions, placing him among the top single-season performances in Arkansas State history.

Beyond his on-field achievements, Rucker is recognized for his academic and extracurricular excellence. He is a two-time Second Team All-Conference selection and was named a Freshman All-American by the FWAA. He has also garnered First Team Preseason All-Sun Belt honors from Phil Steele and Athlon Sports for the upcoming season.

Rucker is also listed on watch lists for the Maxwell Award, Wuerffel Trophy, and East-West Shrine Bowl. The Biletnikoff Award is one of 25 awards under the National College Football Awards Association, which has honored over 950 recipients since 1935.

Arkansas State is aiming to capitalize on its recent successes, including consecutive bowl appearances and a 2024 bowl victory. The team has shown consistent improvement, increasing its regular season win total each year since 2022. The Red Wolves will begin their 2025 season at home against Southeast Missouri on August 30, adding to the anticipation for Rucker’s performance and the team’s continued progress.
