A $2,500 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman currently on probation who is accused of hitting an elderly woman during an altercation Friday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Tori Reed, 43, with second-degree battery.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said on Friday police were sent to 803 S. Persimmon St., in response to a reported disturbance.

Police reported that Reed’s eyes were bloodshot, her speech was slurred and she had an odor of alcoholic beverages on her when she was placed in the police car and taken to the detention center.

Reed was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court June 16.

In addition to the current allegation, Circuit Judge Alex Guynn has ordered that Reed be held without bond after signing an order revoking her probation.
