Pine Bluff Police Chief Denise Richardson has released a statement regarding a social media post and text messages that are circulating claiming a local city department is being investigated.

In the statement Richardson says the Pine Bluff Police Department logo is being used fraudulently, and the department does not endorse the message, nor are they investigating “anything of the sort”.

It has been brought to our attention that a post and text is being distributed about an investigation of a local City Department. The post contains a Pine Bluff Police Badge. This is a fraudulent use of our logo, and we DO NOT endorse the message.

If you have received the message, or if you have seen the post, we want you to know that it did not originate from PBPD. We are not investigating anything of the sort. You are being misled. If you know who is sending it, drop their number in the comments.
