One person was killed and a second injured in a two-vehicle accident in Lincoln County Wednesday night.
According to a preliminary report, Kelly Leann Ashcraft, 43, of Rison was northbound on Arkansas Highway 530 when the 2019 Honda she was driving crossed the center line toward oncoming traffic.
The front bumper of her vehicle collided with the front bumper of a 2020 Kia driven by Monica Renae Fresen, 31, of Star City in the southbound lane.
Both victims were taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital and Ashcraft was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m. by Dr. Tim McClure.
The accident was reported at 7:10 p.m. south of the Lincoln/Cleveland County line on Arkansas 530.
