A two-vehicle accident in Pulaski County in the early morning hours Saturday resulted in the death of one man and injuries to another.
According to a preliminary report, Tyler Hayes, 23, of Bauxite died when the 2014 Nissan Sentra he was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 420 collided head-on with a 2003 Peterbilt tractor-trailer that was northbound approaching the 6-mile marker.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Bernard Terry, 60, of Waxahachie, Texas, was injured and taken to a Little Rock hospital.
The accident was reported at 2:11 a.m. and the death was the 493rd so far this year on the state’s highways.
