Weldon Dewayne Wynn, 78
1947-2025

Weldon Dewayne Wynn, 78 years old, of Star City, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Baptist Health Spring Hill in North Little Rock. He was born in Star City, March 13, 1947 to the late Marion Leslie and Ada Lee Pickens Wynn. He attended Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Monticello.

Weldon was the operator of Wynn Farms and was dedicated to the agriculture industry. His leadership extended far beyond his farm. He currently served as Director Emeritus of the Arkansas Fair Managers Association, having previously served as president and as a lobbyist for the organization for 20 years. He was deeply involved with the Lincoln County Fair, where he served for many years on the board, including roles as president and treasurer, and was currently serving as fair manager.

Weldon’s influence in the cattle industry was extensive and respected nationwide. He held numerous leadership positions with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and served as Chair of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Board in 2013. He was also a past board member of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Foundation, and an EX Officio member of the Arkansas Beef Council. Weldon will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to the agricultural community he loved so deeply. His legacy lives on through his family and the countless organizations and individuals he influenced throughout his lifetime.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Gerald Wynn and Leon Wynn, and two sisters; Mildred Ann McCarty, and Sharon Kay Carroll.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Carolyn Stephens Wynn, one son, Brannon Wynn (Renee), and one daughter, Kellie Wynn Cunningham (Jerry) all of Star City, and four grandchildren; Colton Wynn, Abby Wynn, Cody Harris, and Gracie Harris.

Visitation is 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, December 29, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Funeral services are 2:00pm Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Service with Bro. Dwayne Roper officiating. Burial will follow at Drake Cemetery. Pallbearers are Colton Wynn, Cody Harris, Robert Wilson Floyd, Muggs Broomfield, Steve Jernigan, Dennis Teague, Gary Westbrook, and Jimmy Butler. Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Jordan, Joe Newton, and Donald Henley.
