1938-2025
Walter Tiner, JR, 86 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away March 24, 2025. Born on October 6, 1938, at Wells Bayou, (Lincoln County), Arkansas and was the son of the Walter Tiner, SR and Gertie Tiner. His parents and wife Wanda Jean Tiner, and brother J.B. Tiner and sister Bernice Bills all preceded him in death.
Mr. Tiner was Christian by faith and attended Northside Baptist Church. He was a loving Daddy and Papa to his children and grandchild and great grandchildren whom he cherished. He enjoyed to coon hunt, deer hunt, and turkey hunt. He was a retired truck driver; he delivered gas for Matthews several years.
Survivors are son Cecil Tiner of Dumas, Arkansas and daughter Kim (Patrick) Hathorn of Gillett, Arkansas, grandson Johnathan (Amy) Hathorn and three great grandchildren: Joel, Ryleigh and Morgan.
Visitation 1-2pm, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Griffin Funeral Home. Graveside funeral at 2;30pm, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Pleasant Hill/Butler Cemetery near Star City, Arkansas with Rev. Steven Tiner officiating. Memorials may be made to American Heart Ass’n or American Diabetes Ass’n.
