Steven Wayne Sparks, 69, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026. He was born April 4, 1957 in Memphis.
Steven was raised in Memphis, then moved to Pine Bluff in 1971, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1975. He drove a delivery truck for Guy’s Chips, Borden Ice Cream, Wonder Bread, Ideal and Bimbo, where he retired from. Steven enjoyed playing guitar and loved listening to and performing Elvis music.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Penny Sparks, whom he married April 4, 2015; son, Jeffrey Alexander Sparks; two step grandchildren, Caleb and Canaan Hill; and brother-in-law, Wes Penny and wife Vicki.
Preceding him in death were his parents; step-daughter, Melissa Ann Hill; and two brothers, Sonny Sparks and Randy Sparks.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2026, 1:00-2:00 PM at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2026. Burial will take place at a later date at Pine Crest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
