1961-2025
Steven Charles “Steve” Ludwig, age 64, of Pine Bluff, a kind and very giving soul, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Born in Houston, Texas on January 17, 1961, he was a son of Mrs. Ada Zane Mullin Young of Fort Smith and the late Ray Ludwig. He grew up in Alief, Texas and moved to Pine Bluff in 1997.
Steve owned and operated Steve Ludwig Insulation and worked all around the state of Arkansas. He was a perfectionist with his work and enjoyed a good reputation over his 40 years in his industry.
He was a member of Summit Baptist Church, enjoyed his church family and loved Jesus. He was an avid outdoorsman, a gifted singer and song writer who recorded in Nashville, and an avid Razorback and Houston Texans fan.
His brother, Marvin Ludwig, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Stacy Heird Ludwig; five children, Steven Ludwig, Sara Ludwig, Shane Ludwig, Ashton Ludwig-Williams and Austin Ludwig; two brothers, Kenny Ludwig and Ray Ludwig; a sister, Brenda Smith; and four grandchildren, Avery Grace Williams, Jackson Williams, Michael Ludwig, and Samson Ludwig.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 3, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Summit Baptist Church. Steve’s funeral service will follow at 11:00 with Brother Scott Jones officiating. Services are by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
