Sherry Phillips Witt, 70, of Pine Bluff, was a devout Christian and loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent her life giving herself to others.
She passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Hospice Homecare Inpatient Center in Little Rock.
Sherry was born June 29, 1955, in Danville, Arkansas, daughter of Raymond Joseph Phillips and Betty Jane Thompson Phillips.
She moved to Texas at a young age and graduated from Plainville High School in Plainville, TX. Sherry attended Wayland Baptist College in Texas.
After moving to Arkansas, she really began to show her passion for taking care of kids. Sherry was a teacher for the Pine Bluff School District and was a volunteer and later receptionist at Seabrook for many years. Along with her husband, Randy, Sherry helped countless children in youth sports at Seabrook.
Sherry was very proud of becoming an author, publishing “Sheep Ears: Are You Guided by the Good Shepherd?”. She spoke glowingly about the book and liked to spread it to others, not because of herself, but to help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, Randy; three sons, Aaron Witt (Laura) of Bastrop, Texas, Nathan Witt (Sharon) of Richmond, Kentucky and Paul Witt (Michelle) of Waco, Texas; sister, Michelle Wittman; two brothers, Dr. Steven Phillips and Dr. PJ Phillips; and six grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Skyler, Ayla, Brynleigh and Parker Witt.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Pastors Jordan Blann and Pat Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Robinson’s.
