1939-2024
Roy Eugene Patterson, 85, of White Hall, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. He was born July 22, 1939, in Cleveland County to Charlie and Lillian Branyan Patterson. Roy worked at Mid America Packaging, retiring after 38 years of service. He, along with his nephew, Charles Wayne Patterson, were the owners of C&R Liquor on Main Street. Roy was a member of the Church of Christ. Never one to sit around idle, he kept busy working outside, whether he was bushhogging the field, or working with his hands as a mechanic or carpenter. He was a true Jack of all trades.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Hubert Patterson, Charlie Merle Patterson, and Harold Ellis Patterson; and one sister, Louise Harper.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Kelley Patterson; two sons, Jimmy Bowles and fiance’, Stephanie Butts, and Walter Bowles; one grandson, Christian Bowles; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at New Home Cemetery with Rev. Dan Wessell officiating.
