1941-2025
Roger Weast, 84, of Star City passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Baptist Health in Conway, AR. He was born in Pottsville, AR on December 7, 1941 to the late Roy and Edna Satterfield Weast.
Roger was of the Assembly of God faith, he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and animals. He was a retired electrician for many years in the Star City area.
Preceding him in death were three wives, Elaine, Joyce, and Pauline, a son, Roy, six brothers, Dooley, Charles, Huley, Irvin, Gene, and Kenneth Weast, and a sister, Betty Lou Gates.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy Owens (Ronnie) and Susan Nethercutt (Michael) all of Monticello, a daughter in law, Alene Weast of Star City, and a brother, Jerry Weast (Kathy) also of Star City. Other survivors are five grandchildren, Buddy Owens (Josi), Rebecca Dominguez (Leo), Laine Boykin (Dillon), Logan Nethercutt (Hannah), and Ryan Nethercutt, ten great grandchildren, Allie Ann Owens, Lea Dominguez, Paisley Boykin, Selena Dominguez, Gage Boykin, Rayleigh Boykin, Anna Herron, Hanna Herron, Viviana Herron, and Christopher Dominguez.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 AM in Hickory Grove Cemetery with Bro. Thomas McGriff and Bro. Don Borland officiating. Pallbearers are Hutch Gates, Donnie Weast, Ronnie Weast, Starsky Weast, Hutch Weast, Mike Weast, Buddy Owens, Leo Dominguez, and Chris Weast.
