Raymond Lancaster, 78
1948-2026

Raymond Lancaster, 78, of Redfield, was a faithful family man and proud retired Army veteran.

He passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, in Little Rock. Raymond was born April 3, 1948, in Shaw, Mississippi, son of RC and Edna Tharp Lancaster. He was reared and received his education in Mississippi.

After high school, Raymond entered the United States Army and served his country for over 20 years. He later worked for the United States Post Office in Little Rock and retired after 20 years of service. Raymond was a lifelong Christian and was currently a member of Sheridan Church of Christ.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tammie Jean Lancaster.

Survivors include his loving wife, Molly Limbert Lancaster, whom he married November 23, 1968, in Memphis, TN; daughter, Tammie Hughey of Redfield; two sisters, Glenda Williams and Shirley Hopper; brother, Windell Lancaster; three grandchildren, John Hughey, Melissa Graham and Allison Powers; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with a memorial service following at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Kendal Hemphill officiating and with military honors.

His grandson, John Hughey, said it best. Raymond was a “perfect example of what a man should be”.
